When Orange Jackets Say Goodbye

Meet Gerry Ardianto, a Geological Engineering Graduate, who was born in Jakarta, May 20 1992. This is actually the first time we we're shooting a male student from Geological Engineering faculty. With so many celebration and so many salutation, Gerry finally ended his college years on August 6 2015.

Being asked about his interests, just like the typical Geological Engineering students, he loved to "faire du sport", in english it means he loved doing sports. One awesome thing at Graduation day when you're a part of Geological Engineering Faculty, you have to do this "ritual" which is push-up with your hands in held in fist. We haven't seen this before as our previous clients were women and they weren't dare to do push-ups with kabaya on. But this time, we saw how the male graduates and their junior blended in such a ritual that didn't only show their solidarity but also their strong friendship. This ritual could remind them how they started and how they ended. This could be a goodbye.

At the end of our short conversation, we asked him which moment is most memorable to him during his college years. He smiled at us and chuckled, he then said, "Banyak hal menarik selama perkuliahan, terkecuali cinta."

The truth is, one funny thing about time is, right now, is the youngest you can ever be, and no one can ever stop time from growing you up. During graduation, as you take photos with your friends, as you hug your parents, as your mother kisses you, as your father shakes your hand, time stops there, give you the time itself to think, and be grateful. Here's to a wonderful life! Best fortune be with you, dear Gerry.

Best Regards,
Gradmoment
